My family has had a close relationship with Legacy Home Care for almost one year, since it became clear that my elderly parents required full time & specialized, skilled nursing care if they were going to remain in their home. My parents, siblings, and I could not be happier with the care and attention Legacy Home Care has provided. They brought order, stability, & security to what had previously been an unsafe environment, resulting in my siblings & I finally getting peace of mind that my parents were being attended to in a manner that ensured a healthier life style and one that maintained their dignity. I was introduced to Legacy Home Care in January 2026, as I am a long-time client of Peacewell Care Consulting. Peacewell has been providing care management for my mom since 2020. In January this year, we had to change our live-in aide arrangement and Chris came through quickly with creating plan to get new aides with mom 24-7. A little background: I live out of town, and by 2020 it became clear that if mom was to stay in her home, she would need health aides. My mom would not acknowledge that she was having cognitive difficulties but was adamant about staying independently in her home. After discussing the situation with Lori at Peacewell, Lori visited with my mom and was able to convince my mom that she needed someone with her at night, which Peacewell quickly set up. As my mom’s condition worsened, we switched to 24-7 care with aides from a different agency, but who were managed by Peacewell. As mom’s condition worsened this fall and mom was accepted into hospice, the Peacewell team discussed with me the need for a higher level of care beyond what our current aides could provide. Thus, Chris at Legacy was brought in and he and Denise immediately facilitated getting new aides for mom who could better meet her needs during her last weeks before she passed in early March. Peacewell and Legacy made it possible for mom to be at home as she wished, and they understand that providing in-home health care is a dynamic process where being able to adapt and adjust quickly is essential. In closing, I would also add that both Peacewell and Legacy were always professional and compassionate when working with mom and me.

I recently needed the services of Legacy Home Care for my mom. I called the owner of the company, Chris Garrity. Within two days, he was able to send the most amazing person to help care for my mother. Chris was able to send Nardia to my mother‘s house. Nardia has extensive nursing experience in the hospital/ICU setting. She was very knowledgeable, kind hearted and positive. If you are sick, this is the type of person that care of you. The owner of the company, Chris, is very accommodating and also very caring. I see firsthand why they are so successful. If you or somebody in your family is ill and requires home nursing, I highly recommend this company to help you get back on your feet.

Angels. Chris and Denise have been very responsive and have provided Angels to care for my husband. The term "aide" doesn't begin to describe the professional, loving care he is enjoying. He is pampered and spoiled while receiving excellent personal care. The end of life is a difficult time; these people are making it easier and more pleasant. Angels!!!

Legacy Home Care has changed my mother's life and our whole family's life for the better. I can not say enough good things about this service. First of all it's a fairly new premise - a hybrid between agency and registry. You get all the benefits of an agency (choice of aides, help with changing schedules, help if someone is unable to come), and the negatives of a registry (which would normally be that you are responsible for hiring, paying taxes, insurance, etc.) are all taken care of by a separate company that is handled by Legacy but the paperwork is just in your name. EVERYTHING is taken care of - the technicalities, the legal needs, and most importantly, your loved one. The aides we have gotten for my mother are experienced, knowledgeable, compassionate, kind and devoted. Chris takes charge and is truly invested in your loved one and his or her care. He is 1 of a kind as a human being and excellent at what he does. You and your family can rest easy and lower your stress if you use Legacy for your loved one's needs.
